Anne, Julian, Dick, George and of course Timmy find themselves in hot water when they decide to spend the holidays at Temannon farm. They manage to get in a spot of trouble when they decide to explore the Wreckers Tower in search for a trace of the light they had seen the night before. They find the entrance to the so called wreckers way in the chimney of a deserted house nearby.
Suddenly Timmy runs off and dissapears. George quickly rushes after him. They find him locked in a room used for storing goods. Before Anne can stop George she runs into the trap. The wreckers quickly locked them in. Just in time Jan unbolts the door and they run through the wreckers way to the safety of the farm and lock the wreckers inside the tunnel. But they escape, the 5 soon realise that the Barneys are to blame. They fine the stolen goods in the head of a talking horses costume and arrest the Barneys and solve the mystery.
